Winter
Another winter snow
Lies upon the earth
Soaking in the soil
To give the flowers birth
Childrens laughter on the hill
Playing with their sleds
Rosey cheeks and running nose
Caps upon their heads
Skaters on a distant pond
Huddled by a fire
Not a care and full of joy
For which I so desire
Looking out the window
So quiet and so still
A warming fire at my back
To take away the chill
Winter seems so different
And makes me rather sad
But always shall remember
The good times that I had
