*The Call*
Standing on the doorstep, looking to the sky
Holding child closely, tear upon the eye
Fears of the unthinkable, heavy on her mind
Searching for the strength, she knows that she must find
The sound of a phone ring, echo thru the home
Shuddering as she hears, thoughts begin to roam
Could this be the call, never wished recieved
The one you know forever, you never will believe
For the perils of war,are more than most know
But she knew in her heart, her loved one must go
And the hearts left behind, when we are away
Are faced with the price, not their's to pay
