The Rockies

Rising from the high plain
The Rockies at my feet
This final landmark needed
To make my world complete

The dangers of it's jagged cliffs
Reaching to the sky
Such beauty never known to me
So soothing to my eye

The softness of a midnite snow
Fresh upon the ground
Airy,clinging to the sage
Does nothing but astound

Clouds now cap the mountian tops
As sun melts to the west
A calmness grasps my heart
While looking to the crest

I welcome such a God sent gift
That nature brings to me
And feel the blessing in my soul
That I took time to see
