The Fog
Straining my weary eyes
To look thru such dense fog
A silent fear possesses me
And mind begins to bog
The absense of such knowledge
That lies in the unknown
Has plaqued my heart forever
And forced to be alone
What lies beyond the line
For which we do not see
Could there be a place
To set this lost soul free
Or is it just another cloud
That settles to the earth
Another wall we place there
To slow us from rebirth
The more fog I wander
The more I seem to find
The paths that I've followed
Have helped to keep me blind
For now I finally realize
While stopped to sit and mend
The answers that I seek
Shall soothe me at paths end
